Well, like so many others in these hard times, Debby is postponing retirement for at least two years, and is now available for work full-time. (For a list of some of the major camps and festivals that have hired Debby in the past, please see the bottom of this page.)

Debby will be having two new hips done this winter and will not be able to take any work from Oct 15, 2011 to May 1, 2012. But watch out for bionic woman after that!

Debby is now hosting a strickly old-time jam the 2nd Sunday of the month at the Monte Vista Inn (at the Dutch Flat exit off of Highway 80.) Sunday from 1-4pm. Phone# is 530 389-2333.  Starting in Oct. 2011 it will be the THIRD sunday, not the second.

NEW:  Debby has two vintage banjos for sale, a 1917 Bacon Grand Concert and a 1890s Washburn Presentation, only serious buyers to respond.  Please see additional details on this page below the tour dates.


2012

July 5-8:   The North Wales Bluegrass Festival at Conwy

July 12:  The Black Swan Folk Club, York

Aug 3-10:  Sidmouth Folk Festival, Devon Debby will be a part of the official festival for at least two days, but there the whole week to session, busk on the Esplanade, and eat cream teas

Aug 21-23:  Whitby Folk Festival North Yorkshire including an Americana night on Tuesday

Sept 15:  The Crabshell Inn Kingsbridge South Devon a great gig in a great pub in a great town

1917 Bacon Grand Concert:  #2081 pot -11inches wooden Bacon semi-resonator with metal insert 24 brackets fiberskin head totally gorgeous marketry inlay on sides and binding of pot 20 "F' holes pot and neck flame grain maple with dark wood inlay on back of neck (26" with 22 frets) abalone tree of life inlay on peghead various inlays up the neck large leaf inlay on heel neck refretted and reset by Music Emporium of MA geared 1980s tuner (I also have the original tuners)  My main professional instrument for over 30 years really spectacular old hardshell case RR spikes at frets 5,6,7,8

1890s Washburn Presentation:  presented to the White Chapel Club of Chicago, a group of Edgar Allen Poe entusiasts raven with quill in beak abalone inlay on peghead dot, flower, and geometric inlays on neck skulls and crossbones etched in between each pot braket #387 brass over metal and wooden pot 11 inch with plastic head 24 brackets newer geared tuners 23" neck with 19 frets a real unigue gem set up and neck reset by Bob Smakula RR spikes at 5 and 7 fret older case

I also have a LG1 1960s sweet Gibson guitar, with sunburst. Not strong enough for oldtime, but perfect for folk or fingerpicking.
